Terms of Service

The terms for using this website — in plain language.

Last updated: September 3, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Debits website at www.debits.com (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

Our accounting product is a separate application at app.debits.com. Access to and use of that product — including subscriptions, billing, and how your firm's and clients' data is handled — is governed by the agreement you accept inside the product, not by these terms. These terms cover the public marketing website only.

Who we are

The Site is operated by Ledger Marketing, LLC, an Indiana limited liability company doing business as Debits. You can reach us at [email protected] or through our contact page.

Using the Site

The Site is provided for general information about our products and company. You may view and share its pages for your own informational and non-commercial use. You agree not to:

  • use the Site in any way that breaks the law or infringes someone's rights;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or connected systems;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Site, for example by scraping at a scale that degrades it, probing for vulnerabilities, or introducing malicious code;
  • copy, republish, or resell the Site's content or design as your own.

Content and intellectual property

The Site's content — text, graphics, logos, the Debits name and mark, and its design — belongs to Ledger Marketing, LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to view the Site; we don't grant you rights to our trademarks or to reuse our content beyond ordinary viewing and sharing. Product names and marks of other companies mentioned on the Site (for example, comparisons to other software) belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.

Forms and communications

If you send us your details through a form — such as a newsletter sign-up or a message — you confirm the information is accurate and that you may share it. Newsletter sign-ups are an opt-in you can cancel at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. How we handle what you submit is described in our Privacy Policy.

Links to other sites

The Site may link to third-party websites and resources. We provide those links for convenience and don't control or endorse those sites; your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

No professional advice

Content on the Site — including guides, articles, and comparisons — is for general information only and is not tax, accounting, legal, or professional advice, and does not create a professional relationship. Always apply your own professional judgment and consult the appropriate authority or advisor for a specific situation.

Disclaimers

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that the information on it is complete or current. Pricing, features, and other details described on the Site may change, and the product's actual terms and current pricing are those presented within the product at sign-up.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ledger Marketing, LLC and its owners, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ledger Marketing, LLC from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Site or your violation of these terms.

Changes to the Site and these terms

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time, and we may update these terms as the Site evolves. When we update them, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to the Site that isn't otherwise resolved will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Indiana.
