Who this is for: Accountants and firm owners who manage tax deliveries for clients.
What you’ll learn: How to find a tax delivery, filter the list by status, and use row and bulk actions.
Before you begin
- You need access to the Tax Delivery area of your firm’s account.
Step-by-step instructions
Step 1: Open Tax Delivery
Click the Tax Delivery icon in the left sidebar.
Step 2: Switch to the Delivery tab
The page opens on Organizers. Click Delivery to see returns that have been prepared for signature.
Step 3: Read the table
Each row shows the client, tax year, return type, current status with signer avatars and a signed count, the next step, and the date it was last updated.
Step 4: Filter by status
Click a chip above the table to show only returns in that state. Each chip carries a live count.
- Draft – still being prepared, not yet sent
- In review – sent, waiting for the client to look at it
- Awaiting signature – waiting on identity verification or a signature
- Completed – every signature collected
- Filed – you have marked the return as filed
Click the same chip again to clear the filter.
Step 5: Search for a client
Type a name or email in the Search box to narrow the list. The funnel icon beside it opens extra column filters, and the expand icon shows the table full screen.
Step 6: Use the row actions
Click the eye icon to open a return, or the three-dot More actions button for:
- View Details – open the tax delivery
- Resend Invite – email the signing link again
- Archive – move it out of the main list
- Delete Tax Delivery – remove it permanently
Step 7: Act on several returns at once
Tick the checkbox on each row you want. A green bar appears showing how many are selected. Open Select action, choose Resend Invites, Archive or Delete Selected, then click Apply.
Step 8: Find archived returns
Click Archived to open the Archived tax deliveries drawer. It has its own search box plus year and form filters, so you can pull an old return back up without cluttering the main list.
What happens next
Open any return to manage its signers, documents, vouchers, K-1s and activity log. The status badge and the Next step column tell you at a glance who you are waiting on.
Troubleshooting
- The table looks empty: A status chip may still be active, or your search box still has text in it. Clear both.
- A return has vanished: Check the Archived drawer – someone may have archived it.
- Resend Invite does nothing: It only applies to returns that have already been sent. Draft returns must be sent from the detail page first.
